Installation and maintenance issues

Regarding the installation and construction of fireproof materials

Loose or poorly sealed after installation:

Cause: Dust, oil or unclean substances on the surface of the pipe or cable, which will affect the pasting effect. Insufficient tightness or inadequate attachment during winding, as well as uneven surface of the substrate, can also be caused.

Solution: Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface of the pipe or cable before construction to ensure that there are no impurities such as dust and oil. Wrap tightly and secure with matching straps, clamps, or tapes as required. For irregular surfaces or large gaps, it may be necessary to use caulk (e.g., fireproof sealant, plastic putty) for secondary sealing.

Unclear or wrong installation location:

Reason: Not familiar with the type of penetration (such as PVC, CPVC pipe, etc.) and the required substrate conditions (such as wall thickness, material) and the applicable type of penetration (such as PVC, CPVC pipe, etc.).

Solution: Read the product manual and application guide carefully before installation. Clarify the applicable pipe material and diameter range, the requirements for the thickness and material of the wall/floor slab, and whether to use “concealed” (tape pushed into the hole) or “exposed installation” (the tape is installed at the edge of the hole with the fixture). When unsure, it is best to consult the manufacturer or professional technicians.

Note: When purchasing fireproof materials, pay attention to the key performance indicators of the product, such as expansion rate, fire resistance time, etc

Recommendations for window opener installation and maintenance

When purchasing: Be sure to choose a window opener model with matching thrust and stroke according to the size, weight, and opening method of the window (uphanging, downhanging, translation, etc.). It is better to be big than small.

When Installing: Ensure that the mounting bracket is securely attached to a sturdy wall or window frame, and the actuator is installed at the correct angle, otherwise it will greatly affect the service life and effectiveness.

Routine Maintenance:

Regular Cleaning: Keep the tracks and putters clean and free of debris.

Regular Lubrication: Lubricate moving parts every six months to a year.

Regular Inspection: Check the screws at regular intervals for loose screws and smooth operation.

Seek professional help: For faulty problems, do not disassemble them yourself, but immediately contact the manufacturer for after-sales communication and wait for the manufacturer to give a reasonable solution.
